MAA places high value on contributions by volunteers and interns in our work. We welcome qualified and experienced volunteers, who want to contribute their intellectual expertise and share cultural exchange values in promoting creativity and new innovations in our programming. We are aware that volunteers can be particularly strong in writing and presentation skills, including the writing of fundraising proposals, the layout of publications and advocacy materials, IT and website development/improvement, creative methods of facilitation, communication, and many other areas. In special cases, MAA also engages a few interns and provides them with an opportunity to work alongside our experienced staff in analysis, program development, documentation, advocacy, monitoring, and evaluation to gain skills, experience, confidence, and connections.
